Work experience

Work experience is a great option for people looking to start a career, who wish to build up their job-ready skills. The same criteria apply as for all volunteers, click here for more information about volunteering.

Work experience for people with disabilities:

Horizon Foundation is able to offer volunteer work experience in our business services to people with disabilities, and students attending local special schools and special education units.

We have a current vacancy for a volunteer in the business services. Click here to see more. Please contact the Business Services Manager, Nathan Grima on (07) 3245 3955 or email horizon@horizoninc.org.

People with disabilities may also gain work experience in a job that interests them, if they are a service user of Link Personnel.

For those wanting employment in the disability sector:

Clear Horizons will consider applications from people looking to volunteer as support workers. This helps people to see if this career is right for them, while they gain valuable on-the-job training from a best pratice leader in Post-School Services. Please contact Clear Horizons Manager, Evan Munroe on (07) 3824 8370 or email clearhorizons@horizoninc.org
