Family Fun Day and Launch event

Target 50: Jobs for Parents is the name of a promotion being run by Horizon Job Futures which is aimed at helping parents moving from welfare to work following recent changes to Centrelink’s rules. They have pledged to find suitable jobs for 50 local parents by this Christmas.

To launch this, there is a family fun day at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre on Thursday August 30.

At 11 and 1pm, guest speakers will share their stories and tips on balancing work and parenting, on the stage outside Target. There's free face painting; show bag giveaways; and loads of info on help for parents getting back into the workforce. Ph (07) 3823 5299 or email jobfutures@horizoninc.org
